My Team is Destined to WIN

Dallas Texas native, Ricky Smith, has become sick because of his deranged belief in the success of his Football team. He believes every year that they will make it back to the Championship and win. But time after time they always disappoint. Ricky begins doing some questionable rituals like not eating or bathing and the people in his life side eye him. Ricky’s life starts to slowly fall apart from his negative reactions to the team losing games when they matter.

Ricky has a bad response to his family. Very mean, rude, aggressive, violent even. First, they call over the pastor from church and he tries to talk to Ricky, but the response is no good. The pastor insinuates the even Jesus cannot help the Football team. Ricky gets even more upset at the pastor, and he threatens to not go to church anymore. They have a very interesting fallout. He goes to his job and his boss has a little too much fun with his team’s losing streak, so much that it pushes Ricky over the edge, and he snaps. He gets fired. His wife tells him he needs help. The next football game, they lose a second in a row. Ricky passes out.

Ricky wakes up at the doctor’s office and the doctor tells him he has a self-inflicted disease that is starting to go around the Dallas area called “Demboysitis”, and it can only be treated by a very special doctor (a physic that reads cards and does hypnosis). After he goes to see the special doctor, he is convinced that there is no hope for the Football team to ever win the Championship again. Ever… unless he sacrifices his most prized possessions. He begins to make those sacrifices and things begin to go in a positive direction for the football team. Once he makes the final sacrifice, he begins to second guess his decisions.
